Position: Senior Executive – Account payable

Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Accounts Payable professional with 5–7 years of experience in Indian accounting, MIS reporting, and bank reconciliations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting controls, financial reporting, compliance, and ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Controls
- Post provisions and other accounting entries for month-end and year-end closure.
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions and preparation of debit notes.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding recoveries related to rent & maintenance, electricity, municipal taxes, IT services, royalty income, foreign travel, and other miscellaneous expenses.
- Review model agreement files and supporting documents.
- Maintain accounting records in compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Bank Reconciliation
- Prepare periodic Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) for all operating bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve unreconciled transactions in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with banks and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for reconciliation activities.
- Follow up with relevant teams for clearance of pending reconciliation items.
Financial Reporting
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities.
- Maintain accruals and provisions related to payables.
- Assist in balance sheet reconciliations in coordination with the General Ledger and Finance teams.
- Prepare financial reports and schedules required for quarterly and annual audits.
MIS Reporting
- Prepare and publish periodic MIS reports on Accounts Payable performance.
- Track KPIs such as invoice processing turnaround time (TAT), aging analysis, pending liabilities, and spend analysis.
- Prepare monthly and year-to-date publicity reports with budget vs. previous year comparisons.
- Provide analytical insights to support management decision-making.
- Support internal and statutory audits through accurate reporting and data analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable, Indian Accounting, MIS Reporting, and Bank Reconciliation.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of Indian accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (preferred).
