What You'll Do :

  • Own day-to-day accounting entries — purchase, sales, journal, and contra — ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely posting in Tally or equivalent ER
  • Manage TDS compliance end-to-end: deduct, deposit, file quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q), issue Form 16 / 16A, and reconcile TDS credits via TRACE
  • Perform bank, vendor, and inter-company reconciliations on a monthly basis, identify and resolve discrepancies proactivel
  • Process vendor invoices, verify supporting documents, coordinate approvals, and ensure timely payment
  • Assist in GST compliance: collate data for monthly/quarterly returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), input credit reconciliation (GSTR-2A/2B), and support annual GSTR-9 filin
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities including ledger scrutiny, provisioning, and preparation of MIS schedule
  • Maintain fixed asset register — additions, disposals, and depreciation run
  • Liaise with auditors (statutory and internal) and provide required schedules and documentation during audit period
  • Use AI tools to automate reconciliation checks, draft exception reports, and summarise data — and know how to verify outputs before they go upstream.


Must-Have Qualifications :

  • B.Com / M.Com or equivalent; CA Inter / CMA Inter considered a strong pl
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a finance & accounts role — production houses, media companies, or entertainment firms preferred
  • Solid working knowledge of TDS provisions (194C, 194J, 194H, 192, etc.), GST, and Income Tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP (Prime or latest); exposure to SAP or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Hands-on with bank reconciliations, vendor reconciliations, and general ledger scrutiny — not just familiarity.
  • Comfortable with MS Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic MIS formatting.
  • Uses AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to summarise data, draft routine documents, and flag anomalies — and applies critical review before using AI output in any official record.


Good-to-Have :

  • Prior experience in a media, entertainment, or content production company — understanding of production cost accounting and royalty/licensing entries.
  • Exposure to project-wise accounting and cost centre tracking in Tally or SAP.
  • Familiarity with automated reconciliation tools or ERP add-ons.
