Role Description The School Psychologist will provide comprehensive psychological services to students in an on-site setting in Hyderabad. This full-time role involves conducting individual and group counseling, performing psychological assessments, and developing intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families. The School Psychologist will support students’ emotional, social, and academic development, respond to crises, and offer guidance on mental health and wellness. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, participating in multidisciplinary meetings, and contributing to school-wide programs that foster a safe and inclusive environment. The role also includes providing psychoeducation to staff and caregivers to build awareness and promote early intervention.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Psychology and Mental Health, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices in a school setting.
- Competence in Counseling, including individual and group interventions tailored to children and adolescents.
- Experience in Psychological Assessment, including administering, scoring, and interpreting standardized tests and behavioral evaluations.
- Understanding of Medicine or related health sciences sufficient to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals when needed.
- Relevant degree in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field; advanced certification or licensure is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Experience working in educational settings or with children and adolescents is preferred.
