Role Description The Animation Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad, responsible for overseeing the animation pipeline and delivering high-quality visual content across multiple projects. This role involves leading a team of animators, assigning tasks, reviewing work, and ensuring that creative direction and production timelines are met. The Animation Lead collaborates with directors, VFX supervisors, and production teams to develop animation styles, refine storytelling through motion, and maintain consistency with project goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating and supervising 2D and 3D animation sequences, guiding storyboards and motion graphics design, troubleshooting technical and artistic issues, and mentoring team members to improve skills and efficiency. The role also requires maintaining clear communication with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement of workflows and tools.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Animation and 2D Animation, with experience leading complex sequences from concept to final output.
- Demonstrated ability in Storyboarding and visual storytelling to translate scripts and ideas into clear, engaging visual narratives.
- Hands-on skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating dynamic, polished content suitable for film, television, and digital platforms.
- Experience using industry-standard animation and VFX tools (e.g., Maya, Blender, After Effects, Nuke, or similar software).
- Proven leadership experience managing animation teams, providing feedback, and coordinating with cross-functional creative and production teams.
- Strong understanding of timing, composition, camera movement, and cinematic language.
- Ability to work on-site in Hyderabad, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Animation, VFX, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
