Role Description The AI Visual Artist will work full time on-site at the GCI VFX studio in Hyderabad, collaborating closely with VFX supervisors, designers, and animators. This role involves using AI-based tools and techniques to generate, refine, and enhance visual assets, including concept art, style frames, and animated elements. The AI Visual Artist will interpret creative briefs, develop visual explorations, and iterate on designs based on feedback from directors and project leads. Day-to-day responsibilities include integrating AI workflows into existing pipelines, preparing assets for compositing and animation, and ensuring that all deliverables align with project timelines, technical requirements, and artistic standards.
Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Graphics and Graphic Design for creating visually compelling and production-ready assets.
  • Candidates should possess solid Art and Visual Arts foundations, including composition, color theory, and visual storytelling.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Animation, including understanding of motion, timing, and character or object movement.
  • Experience with AI-based image and video generation tools (e.g., diffusion models, generative design software) is highly beneficial.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard design and VFX software (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Blender, Maya, Nuke, or similar) is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary studio environment and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating visual creativity, technical execution, and familiarity with digital or VFX workflows.
  • Relevant degree or certification in Animation, Visual Arts, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
