Academic Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, demonstrations, and clinical teaching for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Develop, review, and update course curriculum in accordance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Mentor and supervise postgraduate dissertations, thesis work, and research projects.
  • Assess student performance through examinations, clinical evaluations, and continuous assessments.
  • Promote evidence-based learning and innovative teaching methodologies.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Supervise diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of orthodontic patients.
  • Guide students in the execution of fixed, removable, functional, and interceptive orthodontic treatments.
  • Ensure quality patient care while adhering to ethical and clinical standards.
  • Monitor infection control practices and patient safety protocols within the department.

Qualification

  • BDS from a recognized institution.
  • MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics from a recognized university.
  • Registration with the State Dental Council/Dental Council of India (DCI) or relevant regulatory authority.
  • Eligibility as per the latest Dental Council of India (DCI) norms for the post of Professor.

Experience

  • Teaching and clinical experience as prescribed by the latest DCI regulations for appointment as Professor in Orthodontics.
  • Minimum 4 years of Demonstrated experience in postgraduate teaching, research supervision, and academic administration.
  • Strong publication record in indexed journals is preferred.
