About the Employer

Our client is a rapidly growing company expanding into the manufacturing of industrial workwear and protective garments for domestic and international markets. The facility will specialize in the production of reusable industrial coveralls, workwear uniforms, flame-resistant (FR) garments, and other standard coverall apparel, with a strong focus on quality, operational excellence, and export compliance.

We are looking for an experienced Factory Manager to lead the complete manufacturing operations of this greenfield stitching facility,from factory setup to full-scale production and dispatch.

Position Summary

The Factory Manager will have complete operational responsibility for the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production, quality, procurement, inventory management, workforce productivity, and on-time customer deliveries. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing garment manufacturing operations, preferably in industrial workwear, uniforms, PPE, or technical apparel.

Key ResponsibilitiesFactory Operations

  • Lead the end-to-end operations of the manufacturing facility.
  • Establish production processes, SOPs, KPIs, and operational controls.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective factory operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and quality.

Production Management

  • Plan and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
  • Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
  • Optimize sewing line efficiency, manpower allocation, and machine utilization.
  • Monitor cutting, stitching, finishing, packing, and dispatch activities.

Procurement & Supply Chain

  • Oversee procurement of fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging materials, and consumables.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Optimize procurement costs without compromising quality.

Quality Management

  • Establish robust quality control systems across incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications and applicable international standards.
  • Reduce rejection rates, rework, and production defects through preventive quality measures.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Supervise raw material, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory.
  • Ensure accurate stock records and inventory reconciliation.
  • Minimize inventory losses and optimize stock turnover.

Dispatch & Logistics

  • Coordinate packing, shipment planning, export documentation, and dispatch schedules.
  • Ensure timely delivery of customer orders.
  • Coordinate with logistics partners and freight providers.

Workforce Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage production supervisors, operators, quality inspectors, warehouse staff, and support teams.
  • Develop performance metrics and productivity improvement programs.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Cost & Performance Management

  • Monitor production costs, material utilization, labour efficiency, and overall factory performance.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare operational reports and performance dashboards for management review.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, health and safety regulations, and factory compliance standards.
  • Maintain a safe and organized manufacturing environment.
  • Support factory certifications and customer audits.

Experience

  • 6–8 years of experience in garment manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a factory leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing garment manufacturing facilities producing industrial workwear, uniforms, PPE, or technical apparel.
  • Experience in greenfield factory setup is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial sewing operations, cutting, finishing, quality assurance, and production planning.
  • Experience serving export markets is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of flame-resistant (FR) garments and international workwear standards is an added advantage.
