Consultant (Global Market Operations), Bangalore

Note: This is a contractual role for 6-12 months


The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of Global Markets’ workflows, combined with solid technical implementation and support experience.


Key Responsibilities


Implementation & Delivery: Participate in end‑to‑end implementation of Murex / ION / Calypso modules across Global Markets

Configure and customize system components including: Trade capture, Pricing and valuation, P&L and risk calculations, Market data and static data setup

Support system upgrades, migrations, and new product onboarding.

Coordinate with business users to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver enhancements.


System Maintenance & Support: Provide Level 2 / Level 3 application support for production environments. Trouble shoot and resolve issues related to pricing discrepancies, P&L breaks, risk sensitivities, trade lifecycle and settlement. Who can Monitor batch jobs, end‑of‑day processes, and overnight cycles. Perform root cause analysis and implement long‑term fixes.


Global Markets Functional Coverage

  • Support Global Markets products including:
  • Fixed Income (Bonds, Repos, TBAs, Mortgage products)
  • Rates (Swaps, Swaptions, Futures)
  • Credit (CDS, Credit bonds)
  • FX (Spot, Forwards, Options)
  • Derivatives (Listed and OTC)
  • Understand full trade lifecycle


Integration & Data Management

  • Work on system integrations with:
  • Order Management Systems (e.g., Bloomberg TOMS)
  • Market data providers (Bloomberg, Reuters)
  • Risk, Finance, and accounting systems
  • Support inbound and outbound interfaces (real‑time and batch).
  • Ensure data quality and reconciliation between systems.


Required Skills & Qualifications


Functional Skills

  • Strong understanding of Global Markets / Capital Markets.
  • Hands‑on experience with at least one of: Murex/ION/Calypso
  • Knowledge of front‑to‑back trading workflows.
  • Understanding of pricing models and valuation concepts.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with system configuration and environment setup.
  • Familiarity with: SQL / databases, Batch scheduling and monitoring, Unix / Linux environments
  • Exposure to scripting or technical tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with: Traders, Risk managers, Finance and Operations teams
  • Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Experience with regulatory reporting or accounting interfaces.
  • Exposure to cloud environments or automation initiatives.
  • Prior experience in investment banks, asset managers, or trading firms.
