Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Project Manager / Project Engineer to execute projects within a high-end architectural fabrication facility specializing in metal, glass systems, and signage. Most large-scale projects are for major General Contractors and Construction Managers (e.g., Tishman, Turner, Lend Lease).
The ideal candidate must be punctual, organized, and experienced in architectural metals, glass systems, signage, construction management, or mechanical engineering. This role requires strong multitasking capabilities, as multiple projects are active simultaneously.
We work on some of the largest projects in the New York metropolitan area and are looking for someone who can grow with the company and become a long-term asset.

Key Responsibilities1. Takeoff & SchedulingPerform quantity takeoffs from drawingsReview scope and compare with sales ordersIdentify discrepancies or errorsDevelop project schedules and Gantt chartsMaintain project tracking sheets
2. Shop DrawingsCoordinate with design and engineering teamsDevelop and revise shop drawingsManage approval process through multiple iterations3. ProcurementSolicit vendor pricingAssist in estimating with senior managementExecute material purchasing
4. SamplesCoordinate fabrication and delivery of required samplesEnsure compliance with contract documents
5. FabricationIssue work orders to productionEnsure proper execution of manufactured products
6. InstallationCoordinate with installersEnsure proper documentation (field reports, sign-offs)Confirm client acceptance of delivered work
Required Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret construction documents (plans, details, specifications)Ability to translate drawings into material takeoffs and fabrication instructionsTechnical KnowledgeMetal fabrication (aluminum, steel, stainless steel, brass)Glass systems and architectural assembliesPlastics, wood, paint systemsScreen printing, engraving, waterjet, laser cuttingCNC machining and LED lighting
Software ProficiencyMicrosoft 365MS Excel, MS WordAutoCADAdobe Suite
